O.I.P. ADULT Dance Company: 16 yrs & over OR over 7 yrs training in dance genre:
HIP HOP: pickup at medium to fast pace
JAZZ: technique: double/triple pirouettes, piques, axels, switch splits
note: You do not have to be experienced in all the different styles of dance (tap, jazz, hip-hop, etc…) but you must have training and performance ability in at least one area!

TRAINING
The O.I.P. Dance Company focuses on hip hop, jazz, breaking, house, contemporary, musical theatre, and other various styles of dance throughout the year. We will ensure that students who are not as strong in one style of dance or another will get the number of classes needed to advance their skills in that area to the level of everyone else! For example, if you have very strong training in jazz, but your hip-hop and breaking skills are not as strong, you will participate in the jazz classes/rehearsals and be required to attend an appropriate number of hip-hop and breaking classes per month to improve to a level at which you can join the rest of the group for rehearsals. That applies not only for jazz dancers, but also for hip-hop dancers that want to learn jazz and other styles!

All O.I.P. Dance Company members are encouraged to continue training in other classes and are welcome to continue attending their own dance studio in addition to the O.I.P. Dance Company.

COMMITMENT
Being an O.I.P. Dance Company dancer involves a full time commitment of 8 hours of rehearsals and/or classes per week, as well as performance attendance from September 2012 to June 2013. The most important commitment is to improve as dancers and professional performers!
