From the age of seven, Danny Davalos has been involved with the performing arts, and through Toronto’s premiere dance company – Do Dat Entertainment -his passion for the arts turned into a labour of love and a career. Trained in jazz, folklore, contemporary, and hip hop dance, Davalos is a sought after choreographer and dancer known for his professionalism, artistic versatility, and creativity.

Davalos joined Do Dat Entertainment in 2002, and since then has performed with top musicians and entertainers, such as Rihanna, Keisha Chante, The Boomtang Boys, Jully Black, Canadian Idol winner Gary Beals, and Sean Paul. Davalos’ range of dancing skills and artistry has brought him into work with many Latin American artists, performing and choreographing for Ricky Martin, Shakira, and Thalia. .

With more than 12 years of experience in dance, Davalos has traveled nationally and internationally. His stage performances include Danny Fernades, (2009) the Hit & Run European Tour with Shawn Desman (2005/2006), Much Music Video Awards (2005), the motion picture Shall We Dance (2004), and Carnival Choreographers Ball (2004) at the KeyClub in Los Angeles. Davalos was also the lead choreographer for Popstars “The One” – a television reality series (2003).

Currently owner of O.I.P. Dance Centre – home of Do Dat Entertainment – Davalos garners respect within the Toronto arts scene, teaching hip hop classes and workshops throughout North America. He is also the artistic director and producer for O.I.P. Dance Company, where his work appeared in shows such as Milk and Honey, The Wal-Mart Fashion Show featuring Raven Simon, and the pre-screening of the feature movie How She Move (2007). In addition, Davalos directs and produces dance performances and theatre plays, such as On My Way Home, Making It, Dream and Red City.

And most recently you can spot him on “Style By Jury”, on Shawn Desman’s new videos “Shiver”, “Electric/Night Like This” & “Money Shot/Something Stupid”, Keshia Chante’s “Shooting Star”, on So You Think You Can Dance Canada and also as the TV Host and Producer of the brand new show “Get Up and Dance” on the BPM TV network.
